‘An expensive event’: 50 drones plunge into Swan River during sky show fail

A Perth drone company has conceded Sunday night’s City of Light event was “an expensive show” after 50 of its drones fell from the sky into the Swan River in front of thousands of onlookers.

Drone Sky Show managing director Joshua Van Ross said one in every 10 drones in the 500-strong light show malfunctioned, with an internal investigation now under way to figure out what happened. Each drone cost about $2000. Continue reading...
